I have no concept on what it is and I want to put a tiny amount of cash investing in stock (Around maybe 100 dollars). I know that people can lose/make money from it so why not give it a shot.

The way you make money in the stock market is to buy at low prices and sell at higher prices. But it is not a sure thing, by any means. Stock prices can go down and stay down for years.
Unfortunately $ 100 is far too little to start out in the stock market, the commissions would eat up your capital. Put it in the bank and have guaranteed interest.
